Build confidence in reading and practice core reading comprehension skills with stories about Tina and Tommy

Students use reading strategies like sequencing, making predictions, noticing cause and effect, and synthesizing information using engaging, interactive stories about Tommy and Tina’s many adventures. Collect postcards, worksheets and coloring pages to celebrate reading success!

Requires basic reading skills, including the ability to read simple sentences.

Lessons

  1. Tina Goes to the Beach (Ages 6–8): Break out the swimsuit and the sunnies! It's time go to the beach with Tina and work on reading comprehension skills.
  2. Birthday Surprise! (Ages 6–8): Put on your party hat! It's time to help Tina plan a birthday surprise while developing reading comprehension skills.
  3. Tina's Trip to the Doctor (Ages 6–8): Tina goes to the doctor to keep healthy, while you keep brushing up on your reading comprehension!
  4. Time for Bed, Tommy! (Ages 6–8): It's almost bedtime! Check out Tommy's nighttime routine while developing reading comprehension skills.
  5. Tommy Gets a Fish! (Ages 6–8): Tommy gets a new fish!
  6. Tommy and Tina Learn to Share (Ages 6–8): Tommy and Tina need to learn how to share after getting a new coloring book!
  7. Tommy Goes to Camp (Ages 6–8): Tommy goes to camp and learns about making new friends!
  8. Tommy and Tina Ride the Train! (Ages 6–8): All aboard! Tommy and Tina get to ride the train on a special adventure.
