Simple Machines: Ramps and Inclined Planes

Simple Machines: Ramps and Inclined Planes

Ages 6–9 · 9 minutes · Science

Step up and help Brandon complete his invention with inclined planes!

Even complex mechanical problems can have simple solutions. Students will join Brandon to learn how inclined planes and ramps can make it easier to lift things into position. They will explore how inclined planes appear in real life and historically, as well as the connection between the length of a ramp and the effort needed to move an object.
